The Beezer Ecken is one of the most ecologically valuable water
areas in Germany. This area, which has been protected since 1925,
is still home to white-tailed eagles, cranes, beavers and otters.
It is also an important reserve for many small bird species
threatened with extinction.
Attention: Passage rules between the reed islands during the
breeding season from 15.03. to 15.06. and the ban on mooring and
mooring on both banks must be observed.
